Support that reaches the whole person.

From the first blood-pressure check to life after rehabilitation, our programmes strengthen knowledge, independence and belonging.

01

Prevention

Screening, community education and workplace campaigns that help people understand their risk and act early, before a first stroke.

How we do it
03

Reintegration

Peer support, livelihoods and pathways back into family, work and community life for survivors and their households.

How we do it
04

Advocacy and Research

Survivor voices, evidence and partnerships that push for timely treatment, quality aftercare and NCDs as a public health priority.

How we do it

The continuum of care

Prevention is only the beginning.

A stroke changes more than physical movement. It can affect confidence, communication, income, relationships and a family's daily rhythm. That is why SaHA works across the full journey.

The purple handkerchief

Carry compassion into action.

The Purple Handkerchief is SaHA's invitation to give what you can, whether funds, medicines, food, assistive equipment, professional time or practical help, to a survivor or caregiver who needs it.

Two reasons: one, I was in Nairobi where there are good doctors and good hospitals. Two, I had health insurance.
