Support us
SaHA runs on the goodwill of survivors, caregivers, health professionals and neighbours who choose to show up. If you can help, there is a place for what you have to give.
Voices we walk with
These are members and partners who have chosen to share their journey with SaHA so others do not walk theirs alone.
… two reasons: one, I was in Nairobi where there are good doctors and good hospitals. Two, I had health insurance.— Edward Konzolo, Stroke Association of Kenya (at the Coalition annual meeting, Nairobi 2026)
Edward is a stroke survivor and long-standing advocate for consistent, affordable NCD medicines. His point is exact: outcomes depend on where you happen to be and whether the money is there. That is what SaHA is working to change — so the same recovery is available in Kisumu, Kitui and Kakamega, not only in Nairobi.
More survivor and caregiver stories will be added here as members consent to share.
Add a survivor’s story here.— Name, county, year of stroke
Placeholder for a second survivor or caregiver story. Two to three short paragraphs, in the person’s own words where possible. Include how they found SaHA, what changed, and what they want other survivors to know.
Ways to give
The Purple Handkerchief is our invitation to give what you have — funds, medicines still in date, food, assistive equipment, professional time or a lift to a clinic — to a survivor or caregiver who needs it.
What we need most
Every item below goes directly to survivors, caregivers or awareness work. Nothing here is invented — if we don’t have a verified account yet, we say so.
Blood-pressure and cholesterol medicines still in date, blood-pressure monitors, glucose meters and strips. Please contact us before dropping items off so we can confirm what is currently short.
Walking aids, wheelchairs, transfer boards and communication aids in good condition. We match donated equipment to survivors who need it, at no cost.
Physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, nurses, counsellors and community health workers — a few hours a month can change someone’s recovery.
Workplaces, churches, mosques, schools and counties that will host a free blood-pressure screening day. We bring the team; you bring the community.
Rides to clinic appointments and rehabilitation sessions, and space to store donated equipment safely.
Bank and M-Pesa Paybill details will appear here only after they are verified with the account holder. If you want to give money today, please email us and we will send confirmed details directly.
Our promise: we do not invent bank details, and we do not ask for money on a page before we have written proof of the account. If you receive any solicitation that looks like it comes from SaHA and you are not sure, contact us through the details on our homepage and we will confirm.
